Nutrition is the science of food, the nutrients and other substance therein, their action, interaction, and balance concerning health and disease; the process by which the organism ingests, digests, absorbs, transport, and utilizes nutrients and disposes the end products.

Herbology is the use of natural herbs, plants, and botanical knowledge to medically treat individuals.

Nutrition and Herbology are concerned with the study of various nutritional and herbal formulations that are beneficial in the treatment and prevention of related diseases.

  • To master over recommended dietary allowances for Indians as per ICMR.
  • Identification and calculation of nutrition values of fruits, vegetables, grains, and commonly used recipes.
  • To prepare recipes for different diseases.
  • Preparing decoctions, powders, kashayam, poultices, etc.
  • To gain knowledge about basic herbs, composition, properties, and their therapeutic usage.
  • To demonstrate therapeutic diet preparation with their nutritive value and uses.
  • To get a knack for Herbarium preparation.
